[RESEARCH & INNOVATION]

Traverse Lab

Our lab brings research directly into real-world clinical settings to understand risk, early intervention, and pathways to severe mental illness. By focusing on services and systems themselves, we generate evidence that shapes next-generation models of care, informing policy and practice in ways that matter for young people, families, and communities.

[to move across; to pass through]

traverse

  • Our focus cuts across diagnoses (transdiagnostics)

  • We work across the stages of illness (staging) and levels of care (stepped care)

  • Our thinking is focused across areas from neurobiology all the way to clinical phenomena, services and policy

  • We cut across stakeholder silos, working with clinicians and researchers all the way to service users and policymakers

  • Our work is delivered across Montreal, Quebec, Canada and globally

  • We are rooted in equal importance and recognition across the full spectrum of mental illness, from mild-moderate to severe
